Regarding
Our Previous Breeder's Directory
As
of November 14, 2004, MALTEPOO.COM and SEEKAPOO.COM is no longer listing
breeders. As some of you are already aware, our Breeder's Directory
has been non operational for several months now. Initially, we considered
keeping the directory, and in an attempt to learn more and gather more
information regarding the breeders, I sent out a lengthy questionnaire
to each of them. Some breeders filled them out and were wonderful
about answering the long list of questions and some refused. For
those who faithfully filled them out and returned them, I want to personally
"Thank you". However, after more thought and struggle with my conscience,
I came to the conclusion that not having a Breeder's Directory would be
the most responsible decision for me.
This
was a personal decision for me, and not made to cast any bad light on our
previously listed breeders. In fact, there are many who were listed
that offer rescue services or have themselves rescued and adopted shelter
dogs.
My
decision was based only on the belief that it is the most responsible
position for me to take. Since it is impossible for me to have first hand
or personal knowledge of the breeders I list, their dogs, and their breeding
practices, it is irresponsible for me to recommend any breeder.
For
our visitors we can only recommend a rescue or shelter Maltepoo.
There are many Maltepoos and other Poodle Mixes out there and probably
one near you. We would love to help you locate one in your area.
